I recently stayed at Au Chateau Des Thermes for a few days and it was such a unique experience. The hotel has an old castle-like charm with all the quirks and character that I love. The bed was super comfortable and the wifi worked perfectly. The linens were clean and the hot water was abundant. The manager was a polite and helpful gentleman with a funny style. The hotel is conveniently located near the town and is easy to find and access. The family members who run the hotel were friendly and spoke excellent English. Oh, and their adorable dog was a delight to have around.
Would recommend this hotel.

The chateaux had a rich history and was conveniently located in the town. It was easy to find and access. The staff, who were family members, were extremely friendly and spoke excellent English. The lovely dog in the garden added to the charming atmosphere.
Some guests had trouble getting in on their first night, but it was quickly resolved with a phone call. The breakfast could have been more comprehensive, with options like cheese to put on the bread.

Charming, accommodating owner. Thoughtful touches, magical Easter surprise. Friendly and accommodating service. Beautiful and charming chateau. Secure parking, close to town. Enthusiastic breakfast greeter. Great customer service at a reasonable price. Character and quirkiness.
Absolutely nothing to say about dislikes.

The charm and character of the old castle was a highlight of our Christmas stay. The wooden roof beams and high ceilings gave a taste of the grandeur of centuries past. The friendly and helpful landlord added to the experience, guiding us to a great restaurant for our Christmas dinner. The breakfast served in the old castle dining room was delightful, with a wide variety of delicious French pastries, different jams, and a scrumptious jar of vanilla yogurt. The spacious room and bathroom provided a comfortable and cozy stay. Plus, the location was perfect, with easy access to main roads for exploring the surrounding region.
While the old castle had its charm, it could benefit from some TLC. There was a fusty, damp smell in certain areas, which could be improved.

The owner of this charming French hotel couldn't have been more accommodating. On Easter Sunday morning, he surprised our children with chocolate bunnies and Easter eggs outside our room, making our stay truly magical. The thoughtful touches and Gallic charm of this place made it a memorable experience. I highly recommend this hotel.

Our Easter stay at this charming hotel was delightful. The rooms were comfortable and had wonderful views. We especially enjoyed the tasty breakfast with a variety of croissants, jams, and yogurt. The host was warm and accommodating, even leaving Easter treats for the children. It was a lovely touch. The hotel also offered free on-site parking and wifi, which was convenient. the hotel's location was perfect, with a train station within walking distance and a supermarket nearby.
We were fortunate to have someone who could tip us off about the cash-only policy before checkout. while the hotel had a charming, faded grandeur, there were some maintenance issues, such as broken toilets and a bad smell in the rooms and hallway.

My stay at the charming old chateau with faded grandeur was worth every penny. The room was super comfy with a great view, and the host was absolutely wonderful and accommodating. Plus, the Easter surprise for the kids was such a lovely touch.
One small suggestion to make the morning meal even better would be to add a wider variety of options to the breakfast menu.

We got great value for our money, with a charming room and beautiful grounds. The location was convenient, close to the motorway and within walking distance to the train station. The staff, Pascal and Fred, were friendly, informative, and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable.
The breakfast offerings could be improved by adding more variety.

The rooms at Au Chateau Des Thermes were amazing! I loved the seating area, it was so cozy and perfect for relaxing after a long day of exploring. The private bathroom was a big plus too, and the free toiletries were a nice touch. As a backpacker, these little luxuries made me feel right at home.
Honestly, I couldn't find anything to complain about, but if I had to nitpick, I guess some may find the option to request cribs/infant beds unnecessary. But hey, that's just my opinion and I'm sure some travelers with little ones would appreciate it.

The rooms were spacious and the bathrooms were also quite large. The hotel had a charming old-world feel with wooden floors and beams, giving it a lot of character. The breakfast was excellent with a variety of options including fresh croissants and pain au chocolat, along with yogurt and a selection of jams. The location of the hotel was great, within walking distance to shops, restaurants, and a supermarket.
The condition of the building was a bit run-down, with holes in the floor and paint that needed to be redone. The lack of heating made the first night uncomfortable, and the noise from neighboring rooms waking up early was bothersome.
